HSB: Sweep & ConquerSince Tuesday's HSB I've been thinking quite a bit, Nangin being underpopulated and underpowered, we can't exactly fight head on, so it comes to tactics and strategies.
How to deal with campers? Ambush? Dividing the enemy?
Every faction probably know three simple tricks already. Camping, shield prepping and stacking. They're efficient and easy to organize. Since the early days of Tranquility, as a Guanyin we were inferior to Fujin's might, so what did we do to go against the almighty Dameon, GM of HelloKitty? We stacked, prep shields and attempted to hit and run. That's the past.
It is ideal to come roughly 2-3hrs before HSB begins, if you by chance had seen your shields go down, then most likely you're being camped. How to confirm? A good idea would be to check all your shield's HP.
How to deal with them? Wait till yang's shield is up, defend and then sweep across the maps. Wait till the 3rd shield, shield before your faction stone spawns and have a camper there. He must be able to contact high levels who can get there asap to fend off campers. At the same time Yang must be defended to ensure no further campers arrive. Have someone camp your faction stone as well, seeing they may be camping at that map too.
Though, before all this how to assert campers? Attempt to raid their town, as you go leave campers on various maps. Easily hide yourself on tall mountains and buildings. The best efficiency is to go early, attack late. You can then go all out ambush their stones hr-30min before HSB ends, rendering their counterattack slim. You can also disguise your camping assertion by going to their towns, it is easier to assert non well known players, and never speak in faction chat.
Spies, what can they do? They can respawn shields BEFORE HSB, respawning them during HSB is a disadvantage. They can find locations of campers. They can also camouflage and give false information.
What to do if you lose your stone? Split your forces in half, attempt to help your allies defend, while attacking the faction who has your stone. This splits them to defense and offense as well. If both allies are stone-less, obviously team up on the faction with both stone, it may also be beneficial to change targets if they decide to concentrate on one faction's defense. At the last hour, have campers attack every stone, mostly the taken stone, rather than the enemy faction's stone. This will divert and split their attention multiple ways. At the same time have outside forces plunder in, reuniting with the campers and hopefully finishing them off.
Various situations: Attempt to gamble at times, defending is valueless if you cannot slow or hold them back. Playing against the clock is dangerous, just think if you lose your stone, you'll have time to retrieve them, you wouldn't at the last moment. It may even become ideal to sacrifice a shield or two in return for the enemy's shield. Seeing your stone lies at the 3rd map, while when conquered they lie at the 2nd. This way you can attempt to retrieve it, and you'll just be 1 shield away from theirs, switching the table around.
